What is the difference between a specialist and an Ultraspecialista?

A specialist is a doctor specialised in a medical branch. An Ultraspecialista is a specialist that dedicates his life to a single pathology of a medical branch. For example, an Oncologist is a doctor specialised in cancer in general, while an Ultraspecialista treats and researches only some tumours and this allows him to have an in-depth knowledge of those particular tumours.

How are the Ultraspecialisti selected?

There are many medical experts for my pathology. How do I choose the one best for me?

You can choose based on their CV or the city or hospital facility in which the specialist operates.

Will the selected Ultraspecialista be available to follow my treatment?

Yes, you can ask our Ultraspecialista if he can follow your treatment in the hospital facility in which he operates.


What do I need to complete my consultation request?

You need a good internet connection, an email address, your tests and medical reports in a digital format (you can take a picture or scan them), a credit card or a PayPal account for the payment.

What medical tests can I send to the specialist?

Our platform was designed to transmit heavy files. You can send medical reports in pdf or jpeg format, medical images, DICOM files, CT scans, MR, etc.

What documents do I need to upload on the platform?

Medical images such as CTscans, MR images, PET and other images require a longer time to upload and therefore should be uploaded only if the doctor requires it.

How can I digitalize my medical reports and tests?

You can digitalize your documents by scanning them or by taking a legible and high definition picture using a camera, smartphone, tablet, etc.

Can I send my documents in a paper format via mail or fax?

For how long will my medical consultation be available in the reserved area of the platform?

Your medical consultation will be available on the platform for 45 days from the day you received it. After 45 days, the medical consultation is deleted from our database in accordance with current regulations. When you receive your consultation, we suggest you to save a copy of it in pdf format.

I can’t view an old consultation.

After 45 days from the day you received the consultation, the document is deleted from our database in accordance with current regulations.

Is it possible to request a medical consultation on behalf of someone else?

The user has to upload an authorization document signed by the patient, except if the user is the legal tutor of the patient. You can download the form here.

What is the price for a medical consultation?

A medical consultation in Oncology can vary between 200 and 500 euros. On the price is fixed for all medical experts. The total cost is 240 euros vat included (for both the medical and platform service).

What is included in the consultation price?

The price covers the identification of the best medical expert, the possibility to choose an expert based on the city or hospital facility in which he operates, the possibility to view the expert’s CV, use our cloud to upload all the necessary documentation (all medical images included), the expert’s opinion within 5 working days, the possibility of requesting clarifications on the medical opinion, customer care available 7 days a week.

How can I pay the medical consultation?

You can pay the medical consultation by using your Visa, MasterCard or American Express credit cards or through a PayPal account.

The upload of images is slow.

The speed with which your files are uploaded depends on your Internet connection. If you have a fast Internet connection, you should have no problem uploading large files. Ultraspecialisti has the most advanced and innovative technology in the transmission of files but we cannot change the quality of your Internet connection.

I have to upload a DVD of images but I have a slow Internet connection.

If you have the possibility to use a fast Internet connection, the uploading of DICOM files should not require more than a few minutes. If you cannot find a fast internet connection: attach your computer directly to the modem, close all other windows on the browser, disconnect other devices such as smartphone or tablet, upload files at times of day when the least number of people are connected to the internet.
